Getting Started

Choose the guide that matches the SDK you are integrating:

If you are unsure which one to pick:

  • Use MAUI for Android and iOS applications only. Windows apps are not supported by the MAUI SDK.
  • Use .NET LTS for Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi applications (services, desktop apps, server-side components).
  • Use LPR when you want to integrate license plate recognition into either of the above.

Supported platforms and requirements

This documentation covers SDK 2.2.x. SDK versions and .NET runtime versions are separate.

SDK Supported deployment platforms Requirements
.NET MAUI Android and iOS only .NET MAUI 9 or 10 workloads; Android 9 (API 28) or later; iOS 13 or later
.NET LTS Windows x64, Linux x64, Linux ARM64 (Raspberry Pi) .NET 10 SDK to build; 64-bit OS and matching native dependencies

For Raspberry Pi, use 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS and the .NET LTS packages. The YOLO module documents Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm. Native dependencies must match your platform and module. MAUI Windows and macOS/Mac Catalyst applications are not supported.

The examples use C# collection expressions. Build the .NET LTS samples with the .NET 10 default language version (C# 14); the streaming callbacks also use lambda parameter modifiers. Use the default language version of your selected MAUI SDK for MAUI examples. Install the SDK/workloads before running setup commands. Use compatible 2.2.x SDK package versions together. Unversioned NuGet commands resolve versions from your configured feed; pin verified package versions in your project for reproducible deployments.
